Meetings & Events
The Chamber hosts numerous meetings and events throughout the year designed to meet and exceed the expectations of its members. Meetings and events enable members to grow their contact list by networking and exchanging information with fellow Chamber members.
Meetings
Attending Chamber Meetings develops relationships with decision makers and company owners. Monthly educational programs provide a wealth of information that help grow and sustain businesses large and small.
Monthly Membership Meetings
Breakfast and lunch meetings are generally held the second Thursday of the month from 7:30-9:00am or 11:30am-1:00pm and focus on a variety of business topics. New members are recognized at quarterly breakfast meetings and given an opportunity to talk briefly about their business.
Meet & Greet Networking
Join fellow members of the Gahanna Area Chamber for a FREE continental breakfast held three times per year. Start the day by meeting with other local professionals and business owners, potential referral partners, and potential new customers in a comfortable setting with a structured format designed for one purpose – Networking!
Empowering Women Breakfasts
These meetings are designed for women in business who want to improve leadership skills, take advantage of professional development opportunities and share common issues facing women in the business world. Empowering Women in Business – Theme for 2012 “The Woman’s Professional Tool Box – What Tools are in Your Box?” a four part series designed to assess personal, professional, financial and emotional well being of women in business.
Events
Held throughout the year, events are an additional revenue source for the chamber and offer terrific advertising exposure and direct marketing options for members.
Annual Chamber Golf Classic
This year’s Annual Golf Classic will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Jefferson Country Club. This fun-for-all event, designed in a scramble format, provides the perfect venue for networking and a terrific opportunity to entertain customers and clients. Contributions for door prizes and other items encouraged. Early commitment of sponsorships are highly recommended for maximum advertising exposure.
Taste of Gahanna
Calling all foodies! Plan to attend the 15th Annual Taste of Gahanna Halloween Fundraiser, an evening filled with cuisine and entertainment. The event, brought to you by the Gahanna Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held on Thursday, October 11th, from 6-9 p.m. at the Aladdin Shrine Center. The evening promises plenty of excitement including unlimited signature samples from some of the best restaurants in the Gahanna area, door prizes, culinary competitions, a Halloween costume contests and live music by The Dwight Lenox Quartet.
The highlight of the evening is the audience favorite “Chefs’ Challenge,” modeled after the popular television show “Iron Chef.” Eight local chefs create their own signature dish that requires incorporating a mystery ingredient in just 30 minutes. A panel of culinary experts then judges each chef’s creation to determine the Chefs’ Challenge winner. The evening also includes other categories of competition among the numerous food vendors who will be providing samples. Awards will be presented to participants in their respective category of competition. TOG is our largest and most popular fundraising event totaling nearly 800 attendees in 2011.
Health & Fitness Fair
In partnership with the City of Gahanna, chamber members in the health care industry are invited to participate in this half-day event designed to reach the community regarding issues of health care, ways to stay healthy and where to go for health care needs.
